of Purpose: The purpose of
District 26 Unity Council is to promote harmony among A.A. groups through
the practice of the 12 Traditions and the 12 Concepts. We are a fellowship
of Alcoholics from different groups within the district that encourage
participation and service.

- Meeting opened at 3:00 p.m. with introductions, The Statement of
purpose, the reading of the A.A. Declaration of Unity and the 11th
tradition and 11th concept.

- 1 DCM position is open see Gordon for
nominations or volunteers. We need 2 DCM’s and 2Alt. DCM’s.
- Please

New Business:
- East Central regional forum flyers are available
for next month.
- The last of the two bills for the dist. 26 CMIA
that was held in gladwin have been submitted ($180.00) for the janitorial
portion.
- Request has been submitted that the unity
council will meet in the future at handicap accessible facilities only.
- The unity council will meet at any handicap
accessible area, but we need to be invited.
- January 19th we are invited to Beaverton. Contact
person and phone number and information will be on the dist. 26th

- Sending monies to area and to New York: How much? Recommendation is

- The Hotline Operator would like a few contact
phone numbers from each county for meeting information and directions for
meeting seekers. Maybe the best way is to post a request for numbers on
the website. It’s up to the individual to specify if they would like their
number given out or if they would like to call the person back.

G.S.R. and Group Reports
- Good meeting attendance is reported from all the
GSR’s in attendance.
- Friday 8
p.m. at the 12 step club and Sunday at the rose city prince of
peace church 7 p.m.
are both doing good, good attendance.
- Thursday Big Book Study in Oscoda is doing good
- Back to the book big book study in West branch
at the Ogemaw hills free Methodist church Is doing good also.
- Janeen , Standish, nothing new Monday night
meeting has good attendance. When we can’t come up with a topic we go with
the tradition and step that matches the month.
